What is the Tungsten Trioxide Ceramic?

Tungsten trioxide (WO3) is an extremely important high-tech material, which is characterized by non-linearity, high dielectric constant, electrochromism, gas detection, and chemical catalysis.

In order to make the ceramics both resistant to high temperatures and not easily broken, tungsten trioxide was added to the clay used to make the ceramics. In recent years, it has been recognized that semiconductor tungsten oxide, as a photocatalyst, has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, clean and non-toxic, no secondary pollution and simple process, which has a broad application prospect in sewage treatment and deep treatment of domestic water.

Tungsten trioxide can be used as a pressure-sensitive resistive material. Although the pressure-sensitive properties of this kind of materials are not very outstanding, the low pressure-sensitive voltage and low operating current make tungsten trioxide applied in practice as a low-pressure pressure-sensitive material.

Alkali doped tungsten oxide is the most ideal cathode material for batteries, and these cathode materials are sometimes called solid solution electrodes. The solid solution electrode can not only improve the energy storage density but also form the power battery. Furthermore, not only does it not leak but also favors miniaturization.

Tungsten trioxide material has good absorbability to electromagnetic wave and can be used in mobile communication and satellite communication.
